Across the Springhill Care Group we’ve been celebrating Christmas with a series of parties.
At Riversway Nursing Home in Bristol, the celebrations included a gift to Save the Children.
Residents and visitors truly got into the spirit of Christmas during the home’s annual Christmas party, open to residents, family and friends.
This year as well as a visit by local musician Andy T, which was very well received, we held a raffle and Christmas jumper day in aid of Save the Children.
A group of family and friends even headed off around the home – specially decorated for the occasion – to sing carols for everyone.
At Springhill Care Home in Accrington, local singer Will Matthews entertained with Christmas classics and a few other golden oldies for everyone to sing along to.
There was also a special visit from Father Christmas himself to hand out a gift to each of our residents who were either at the party or in their rooms.
Springhill was also visited by children from St Mary’s School choir who spent time sharing their Christmas spirit, and by volunteers from local charity the Bahja Initiative who brought gifts.
Meanwhile, at Birch Green Care Home in Skelmersdale, entertainment was provided by popular local singer Tina Riley, who is a favourite at the home.
Residents, their family and friends had a fabulous afternoon full of Christmas cheer, laughter, singing and dancing.
After the Christmas party, Birch Green’s grand raffle was drawn.
We’d like to thank everyone who has helped get the festive season off to such a lovely start.
