Our pair of Caring Heroes

This month we’re highlighting the work of carers Jess and Meghan, our latest Caring Heroes.

Jess has worked at Riversway for more than three years, and Meghan for two. They are both carers and are hoping to have a career in the care sector.

The pair have been recognised as Caring Heroes thanks to the personalised care and compassion they are committed to, particularly with some of our more fragile residents.

Both Jess and Meghan are there for our residents and their families at what can be difficult times, going above and beyond the call of duty, often in their own time.

They have also been companions and support for many residents who don’t have any family, and both have truly earned their status as Caring Heroes.

Debra’s our Caring Hero

This month Riversway Nursing Home’s Caring Hero is Debra.

Debra brings initiative to her role like a breath of fresh air, showing enthusiasm and passion.

Always going the extra mile for the residents she cares for, Debra constantly works to put people first before anything else.

Congratulations from all of us at Springhill Care – you’re a true Caring Hero.

Beata is a ‘Caring Hero’

This month Riversway Nursing Home named Beata as a Caring Hero.

Beata, a Registered Nurse, started at Riversway Nursing Home Bristol in August last year and has been nominated as a caring hero for her tireless help and support for our residents and care staff.

We’re all very grateful to Beata for her support as she is willing to help wherever possible.

Being proactive is something that comes natural to Beata and she is always there to lend an ear when anyone needs her. She will always spend time with people to understand how to improve their wellbeing.

Three words that describe Beata are: passionate, calm and confident.

Beata is a well-respected member of the team as she contributes so much towards our day-to-day tasks, this is why Beata has been nominated by multiple members of staff to receive the title ‘caring hero.’

Well done Beata and thank you for your continued contribution to our Riversway team.

Ministers become ‘Caring Heroes’

Springhill Care Home in Accrington is delighted to announce this month’s Caring Heroes are Eddie and Cecilia who are the Catholic Eucharistic Ministers for the home.

Eddie and Cecilia generously give up their time to visit residents and provide a weekly Catholic service. Those residents who are unable to make the service have a special visit in their room / lounge to receive communion.

We wanted to nominate Eddie and Cecilia because they play such an important part in the lives of many of our residents, who love spending time with the pair and continuing to celebrate their faith.

The spiritual faith of our residents is just as important to us as any other aspect of their lives and we work hard to ensure that they can receive any support they might need while living at Springhill Care Home.

Both staff and residents agree it’s about time Eddie and Cecilia were recognised in this way for their hard work!

Congratulations Eddie and Cecilia, you are both Caring Heroes.

Riversway’s latest Caring Heroes

Staff at Riversway Nursing Home in Bristol were chosen as Caring Heroes for their ‘inspiring attitude.’

Carers Jess and Sarah were chosen for their approach to care – always seeing every moment as an opportunity to make the lives of Riversway residents a bit more special.

Both Jess and Sarah truly represent the values of Riversway and while it often isn’t easy being a carer, it can be a very rewarding experience and these Caring Heroes have gained the respect and admiration of all those around them.

Well done to you both from all at Riversway and the Springhill Care Group.
