At Springhill Care Group, people are at the centre of everything we do, and this includes our dedicated workforce.
In support of this, we have implemented several health and wellbeing initiatives to help members of of team keep in good health.
We have introduced dedicated health check days, where a registered nurse will visit each of our services to monitor blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol and BMI, and make sure staff are in line with the recommended guidelines.
We have also compiled a variety of menu cards containing healthy recipes, which are affordable, easy to make and part of a balanced diet, providing the vitamins and nutrients required for optimum health.
In addition, staff are provided daily with a selection of fresh fruit to encourage healthy snacking and help fulfil the important quota of five portions of fruit and veg a day.
Virginia Perkins, Head of Human Resources for the Springhill Group said: “Often our busy lives can get in the way of taking care of ourselves, but it’s so important to keep on top of health and wellbeing. Sometimes it’s just about making time, so by introducing these initiatives into the working day, we’re giving staff a head start.
“We’re dedicated to helping staff keep themselves fit and well, as we continue to promote a healthy, happy working environment across the Springhill Group.”
