STAFF at an Accrington-based care business have been shortlisted for a top industry award.

Donna Briggs, managing director of Affinity Supporting People, and Christine Murray, team leader, are shortlisted for the Great British Care Awards regional competition.

Affinity Supporting People is a not-for-profit company providing care services for adults with disabilities. It is part of the Springhill Care Group.

Donna, from Oswaldtwistle has been shortlisted for the Care Employer of the Year award for under 250 staff.

Christine, from Great Harwood, oversees a team and is responsible for the care of adults in supported living who suffer from acquired brain injuries and mental health conditions. She has been nominated for the Home Carer of the Year award.
