A… is for Activities and there are plenty in store for the residents of Bristol’s popular Riversway Nursing Home at St George.

For the home has just appointed three new assistants to support Activities Co-ordinator, Hilary Loader in providing as many opportunities as possible for residents to enjoy living their lives to the full.

“Besides the traditional sing-a-longs, quizzes and group outings, we are hoping to introduce such activities as cookery, art classes and gardening and will also be looking at residents’ individual leisure time needs on a one-to-one basis,” she added.

Joining Hilary as part of the activities team are, Sarah Huntley, Maria McDonough and Jan Kluganost all of whom are experienced Riversway staff team members.

Riversway proprietor, Ken Nolan, said "it is all about the importance of activities as part of everyday quality of life and giving residents as much variety and choice in their lives as possible".
